Planning
a wedding, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, business meeting, birthday
or anniversary party? The Garden House at the Keeler Tavern Museum,
Ridgefields hidden
treasure, is the perfect setting
whatever the occasion. Suitable for up to 90 guests, its unique
historic ambience will make your event truly special. You can even
arrange Museum Tours for your guests!
The
Garden House is framed on three sides by French doors that open
onto a sheltered bricked terrace. Marble steps lead from the terrace
to a charming and spacious bricked walled garden and reflecting
pool with fountain. A nearby 24 x 36 rooftop
fieldstone patio (suitable for tenting) is often utilized as an
outdoor extension of the catering area for warm weather events.
Designed
and built about 1915 by noted architect Cass Gilbert, the 25
by 50 room has 20 ceilings with magnificent crown moldings
and includes a fireplace, chandeliers and hardwood floors. Fully
equipped with modern heating and air-conditioning, it is available
year round for weekday or weekend events. Located on Ridgefields
Main Street, it is easy to reach from major
highways in the tri-state region.
In
a separate brick building attached to the banquet room by a short
glass enclosed walkway, are located the caterers kitchen,
rest rooms, coat rack area and small office. Parking is available
on the premises and both a supervisor and parking attendant are
provided on the day of the event. Both the Garden House and the
facilities in the brick building are accessible for the disabled.
Referrals to local caterers, party suppliers and musicians are available
upon request. Detail room specifications
are provided.
