In
1907, the Keeler Tavern property was purchased to be used as a summer
residence by noted American architect Cass Gilbert (Woolworth Building,
NYC, Supreme Court Building Washington, D.C.).
He designed and built the Garden House on the property behind the former
Tavern about 1915. During the summers between 1915 and the early 1930s,
it was the site of many lavish parties for his guests and visiting dignitaries.

Classic white room (25' x 50' x 20') with extensive crown moldings.

use. Tents are permitted on the terrace.

Pantry appliances for warming of pre-prepared meals only
Large refrigerator with freezer compartment.
Stovetop,two full size ovens and microwave oven for warming.
Referrals for professional caterers familiar with the premises
available upon request.
Set-up
and Tear-down:
Items and equipment must be removed within 1 hour of the end of
the event or by 9:30 PM, unless arrangements have been approved for next
morning pickup.
Overtime charges will be applied if items are not removed by deadline
stipulated in contract.

Garden:
The Garden House faces a formal garden with brick walls, arched
pathways and a reflecting pool with fountain.
Maintained by a local garden club, it contains seasonal plantings.
Guests may explore the garden area while at the event, but no furniture
or tents are permitted.

Music:
String and woodwind instruments are recommended.
Muted brass or drums with brushes only.
No amplifiers permitted, except for keyboard.
DJs are permitted with limited amplification.
DJs/musicians may not set-up or perform outside the building.
Capacity:
Maximum of 90 guests for all types of events.
Maximum of 80 guests for a comfortable sit down dinner.
